Lok Sabha Election 2014 : [ 1 ]

MUMBAI – MAHARASHTRA – INDIA           APRIL 14 , 2013           10.40 P.M.

As the scene is becoming interesting , as the water is becoming muddy , as the temperature is rising menacingly , as the players are getting ready for a fight to finish , as leaders are being chosen to lead  , as the respective armies are getting ready to wager their lives , as the country is getting ready for a spectacular drama , as the world is watching with anxiety , let us start looking at the current scenario in our country.

Lok Sabh or parliamentary election is due in 2014 . But preparation has already started . Over the years I have watched that media ; print and electronic both – proffer some fascinating observations . Some of it becomes reality and some fail miserably . In recent times comments are being made on various social media sites also . Anonymous netizens are posting their views on micro -blogging sites and are making the scene murkier . Already precarious political scenario is becoming more unpredictable .

I will try to save all  the poll related writings till the election results are out in 2014 . It would be very interesting to read all these articles after the results are out .

Till 2014 I will keep on writing blogs and sometimes will re-produce interesting stories from various social networking sites . And will keep on doing this till Election 2014 is over . I feel that VIDUR Acting Institute , which is known as ,  Vidur’s Kreating Charakters  , is not only an acting institute , it also has some social and national duties and obligations .

I may not be running the most famous acting school of Mumbai , or the most famous acting institute of India , or the most famous acting academy of bollywood , or the most famous acting institute of the world , I may be small and very insignificant , but I thought it proper to offer my views on this important matter .

West Bengal Needs Mamata Banerjee

MUMBAI – MAHARASHTRA – INDIA           APRIL 06 , 2013           11.40 P.M.

It is hard to defend a death . It is difficult not to sympathise with the grieving family of a 23 year – old boy Sudipto Gupta . It is suicidal to swim against the tide . It is politically wrong to support a government , which is accused by one and all , for murdering a young boy . But still there is a case in favour of Mamata Banerjee and Trinamool Congress . Before getting swayed away by the orchestrated public outcry , before being inundated by the flood of tears of cunning comrades , pause for a moment and think properly .

The dead boy belonged to SFI [ Student Federation of India ] . This so called youth organization is affiliated to CPI-M [ Communist Party of India - Marxist ] . And it is prudent to recall that CPI-M ruled West Bengal for almost 4 decades . And then came Mamata Banerjee and she single-handedly defeated the mighty ,  invincible comrades . And the comrades are not supposed to give up power easily and willingly. Comrades are desperate to dislodge Mamata Banerjee since then .

Every politician can falter . May be Mamata Banerjee made some mistakes . But she is an elected Chief Minister of West Bengal . She should be allowed to rule for 5 years and that too peacefully. CPI-M should understand this , and if they are not willing to understand then they should be forced to see the writing on the wall . It should be drilled into their dark , empty heads .

I am forced to remember happenings from the day one , when Mamata Banerjee took charge of West Bengal . She went to inspect a hospital and the doctor on duty questioned her presence in the hospital . Is it not proper for an elected Chief Minister of a state to visit a hospital ? Should a people’s representative seek doctor’s permission before visiting a hospital ? The answer is a definite no . But CPI-M , through their committed card-holder members , wanted to show the world that Mamta Bannerjee is a persona – non – grata in her own state .

They , forgetting their own blood-drenched past , are now shedding copious tears on national television after Sudipto Gupta’s death . I could feel a sense of glee in the hearts of comrades . Apparently Sitaram Yechuri was showing grief at the demise of SFI member but he seemed to be quite pleased that at least now they have got a stick to beat the formidable foe .

Their selective amnesia should be brought in the public view . Comrades are adept in annihilating their political opponents . They have killed thousands of RSS [ Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh ] workers in Kerala . They have brutally murdered their political opponents in West Bengal . Ask any CPI-M deserters . They will tell you the gruesome story . In the hinterlands of West Bengal , comrades used to hang a white sari in front of the house of the person , who voted or even participated in the political activities of opposition parties . White sari symbolised the impending widowhood to the wife of the deserter .

National media knows everything but they are myopic and inadvertently helping CPI-M . And shrewd comrades are exploiting the situation and enjoying the moment . They are shedding copious tears on the national television but in the privacy of their offices they must be having orgasm . At least no one can support West Bengal government of Mamata Banerjee on this point .

Death is sad . Death of a young man is shattering for the family . But may I ask why these comrades are on rampage since their defeat in West Bengal ? Why the comrades are not willing to wait for 5 years ? If their commitment for democracy is so unflinching , they should wait for the next general election . They should desist from unleashing their cadres on the streets and on police . When they were ruling West Bengal , it is alleged that they tried to annihilate Mamata Banerjee . They insulted her . They dragged her on the streets by catching hold of her hair . But a hypocrite like Sitaram Yetury , who is shedding tears now , was silent then . Even late Jyoti Basu , who is considered a BHADROLOK [ gentlemen ] by the media , remained a passive and silent onlooker like the mythological Dhritarashtra .

I am not from Bengal . I can’t be accused of having any personal interest in the politics of Mamata Banerjee . I am not going to gain anything by supporting her and that too at this juncture . But I know the cunning comrades . I just felt that even at this juncture India and the discerning public should know the truth and they should not be swayed away by temporary and fluid situations and emotions . It would be fatal to play in the hands of comrades . These murderers are waiting for the opportunity and we should not do anything to help them . Their dream of ruling India is shattered . Their secret wish to paint India red lies in shambles . Any effort to demonize Mamata Banerjee would be like inviting the killers in our house .

I feel for the family of the dead boy . I sympathise with the near and dear ones . But I refuse to criticize Mamata Banerjee for this death . Because I also remember the killings and annihilation of political opponents done by the communists of India .

Police claims that Sudipto Gupta died because of accident . Comrades are crying foul . You should remember ACP Dhoble of Mumbai police . He was accused of murdering a hawker in Mumbai and was subsequently transferred . Now it is known to all after enquiry that the hawker died of cardiac arrest . What if same case is repeated in Kolkata ? Think and think properly .

Famous acting schools of Mumbai , famous acting institutes of India and the famous acting academy of bollywood have no time for such topics . My acting institute  Vidur’s Kreating Charakters  think that apart from imparting acting training , it is also our duty to make our students aware of such happenings .

Latest Game of Paid Media & R.S.S.

Congress , the Indian National Congress commands enviable sway over the Indian media . During olden days , when print media ruled the country , they always had their way . And gullible masses knew nothing about it . These days , when electronic media has become all – powerful and has almost become omni – present , Congress has devised a new strategy . It is alleged that a vast section of electronic media is getting paid and thus to oblige their masters they have become a mere tool in their hands .

The game started in the newly independent India . Jawahar Lal Nehru and later on his daughter Indira Gandhi , both used print media to malign R.S.S. [ Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh ] . I have followed political scenario of the country since the days of Jawahar Lal Nehru , the first Prime Minister of India . Shri Golwalkar a.k.a. Guru Ji was demonized by him and the sycophant print media helped him to accomplish his nefarious goals . His designs went unnoticed because of the gullible public of those nascent days . Same was the case during Indira Gandhi’s regime . She always maligned R.S.S. and the 3rd Sarasanghachalak Shri Madhukar Dattatreya Deoras a.k.a. Bala Saheb Deoras and no one got the hint because the people of freshly independent country were still naive .

The old tactic of maligning and demonizing R.S.S. [ Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh ] is still continuing unabated with the help of pliable , sycophant and ready – to – help allegedly paid media .

Mohan Madhukar Bhagawat , the 6th Sarasanghachalak of R.S.S. , unwittingly became the latest whipping boy of paid media . Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh was never their favourite but to take innocuous line from a speech and twisting it to further their nefarious designs is deplorable . It is unfortunate .

But now the days are changed . All – pervading , all – encompassing electronic media can’t be a tool of only the Congress . Through internet and various forums of social media people can know the truth and can educate others also . Gone are the days of servile media , which was always ready to help their masters . Now public can know and verify the truth . So within hours of the statement of Shri Mohan Bhagawat , paid media twisted and misquoted it to help their Congress masters , who were facing worst crisis because of the deplorable case of Delhi girl child . So Shri Mohan Bhagawat became the target . But it backfired .

Narendra Modi & His Detractors

I believe in democracy and thus I firmly believe in the saying of Voltaire , which I have given below :

“I do not agree with what you have to say, but I’ll defend to the death your right to say it .”  – Voltaire

Then what to do with false , abusive and malicious campaign . Here I admire the way Shri Narendra Modi deals with his detractors . He concentrates on his work and ignores the acerbic spleen of his nay – sayers .

He once famously said, ” A successful man is one who can lay a firm foundation with the bricks others have thrown at him. “

It explains the enigma of Narendra Modi . Today he has won the third consecutive term in Gujarat . He is condemned , vilified and demonized since Godhra riots . But continuously winning election in 2002 , 2007 and now in 2012 and that too decisively and single – handedly , is by no means an unimportant achievement .

Gujarat has now become synonymous with Shri Narendra Modi . He now represents the province completely . But it took many years of agony – filled existence . It took many painful nights and colourless mornings . But today public gave the verdict and its for all to see . Now it is a permanent death-nail in the coffins of his detractors .

I think that people are the final judges and they give decisive verdicts . Public can never be ambiguous . They can never be wrong . Though sometimes they do take longer time to decide .

Today as I write this blog and simultaneously reading the tweets about Gujarat election , I am convinced that Modi detractors have bitten dust and they have eggs on their despicable faces . Nay – sayers will never be silenced but after the verdict of 2012 , no one will believe them any more .

I told acting students of my acting class  Vidur’s Kreating Charakters , that in this film line they will get more detractors than fans or friends . And here they should always be careful who they call their friends . It’s always better to have 4 quarters than 100 pennies . They should not feel humiliated or disheartened by the acts of their detractors .They should always wait for public verdict .

In such cases public verdict comes and it comes pretty soon .

This is not a blog in real sense of the term . Kokrajhar Riots & The Tyranny of Distance

Kokrajhar in Assam is reeling under communal violence . Demography of Assam is getting changed or rather it is being changed . Assam is fast changing and changing for worst . Assam is in trouble but no one is paying attention . They say that Assam is very far off and inaccessible . So in the words of Mr. Rajdeep Sardesai ” tyranny of distance ” is the main cause of this criminal neglect . And if Assam is in trouble can other states of North East India be far behind ?

In the age of internet , when twitter , Facebook and blogs are the order of the day , is this theory ” tyranny of distance ” convincing enough ? Or is it a ploy to avoid some troublesome questions , some unpleasant truths ?

Why ” tyranny of distance ” , which is so convenient for Kokrajhar , did not apply to Gujarat ? Why even the minutest details of post Godhra riots were aired repeatedly and why gory scenes were played on the television over and over again ? If the reportage on Gujarat riots were prerogative of a journalist then Kokrajhar should also be reported . And if Assam in general and Kokrajhar in particular is too distant , then Gujarat is also not the immediate neighbour of New Delhi .

Apart from ” tyranny of distance ” theory , Mr. Rajdeep Sardesai came with another brilliant ( ? ) theory for not reporting Kokrajhar riots . He tweeted that since more that thousand people got killed in Gajarat riots and less than hundred got killed in Kokrajhar , so reporting about Kokrajhar is not that important . Can a riot be termed as important and unimportant ? Is a riot less important because less than thousand people got killed ? He did tender apology after public outcry , but his hypocrisy was there for all to see .

If Narendra Modi , the Chief Minister of Gujarat is responsible for Gujarat riots , then same yardstick should be applied to Tarun Gogoi , the Chief Minister of Assam also . And if Tarun Gogoi is not directly responsible for Kokrajhar riots , then how come Narendra Modi is guilty of Gujarat riots ?

Bodos are tribal of Assam . Landscape of Bodoland is divine . The tribal culture of Bodos are in danger . So they are up in arms against the Bangladeshi immigrants . Because of vote bank politics provincial government is not paying attention or rather ignoring the menace . And even after riots , a cover up operation is going on . Now Mr. Rajdeep Sardesai is talking about the need of sensitivity for the Assam victims but he totally forgot to maintain that sensitivity for the victims of Gujarat riots .

I am not defending Gujarat riots . No sensible person can defend such acts . But there should be one yardstick for all the acts of crime . It should not be the case of good riots and bad riots . It should not be our riots or their riots . Riots are riots and they should be condemned in equal measures and with same force and vehemence .

That is the reason I fail to understand the logic of Mr. Rajdeep Sardesai and other secular like him . I condemn their hypocrisy . There cannot be and should not be two yardsticks for the same communal ( ? ) crime . If Gujarat is still remembered , so should be Kokrajhar . If BJP is communal , so is the Congress , Indian National Congress .

LOCAL BODY ELECTIONS – UTTAR  PRADESH

The Bharatiya Janata Party [ BJP ] recently swept urban local body elections in Uttar Pradesh . It won 10 of 12 mayoral posts in municipal corporations . Ruling Samajwadi Party [ SP ] supported candidate won 1 municipal corporation and Bahujan Samaj Party [ BSP ] supported candidate won 1 . Indian National Congress failed to open its account .

Bharatiya Janata Party [ BJP ] candidates won mayoral elections in Agra , Aligarh , Ghaziabad , Gorakhpur , Jhansi , Kanpur , Lucknow , Meerut , Moradabad and Varanasi .

Bareilly seat went to ruling Samajwadi Party [ SP ]   backed nominee I. S . Tomar and a Bahujan Samaj Party [ BSP ] supported candidate won in Allahabad .

In Agra BJP candidate Indrajeet Arya defeated BSP backed Kartar Singh Bhartiya by a margin of 12,467 .

in Aligarh BJP candidate Shakuntala Bharati defeated independent Razia Khan by a margin of 41,834 votes .

In Ghaziabad , which witnessed late night protest by BJP supporters alleging gross irregularities in the counting of votes , party candidate Teluram defeated his nearest rival Sughan by a margin of 9583 votes .

In Gorakhpur BJP’s Satya Pandey defeated Surhita Kareem of Congress by a margin of 33,156 votes .

In Jhansi Kiran Raju Bookseller of  BJP defeated Nirmala Bilharia of Congress by a margin of 25,659 votes .

In Kanpur Jagatveer Singh Dron of BJP defeated his nearest rival Pawan Gupta of Congress by a margin of 53,323 votes and retained the seat .

In Lucknow  BJP party candidate Dinesh Sharma won the seat for the second consecutive term defeating Neeraj Bora of Congress by a margin of more than 1,71,824 votes.

In Meerut, Harikant Ahluwalia of BJP defeated SP-backed Rajeeq Ansari by a margin of 70,806 votes .

In Moradabad, BJP candidate Veena Agarwal defeated her nearest rival Humanu Kabir of Peace Party by a margin of 70,111 votes .

Ruling SP backed candidate I S Tomar defeated BJP’s Gulshan Anand by a margin of 47,128 votes in Bareilly.

Abhilasha Gupta of BSP defeated Kamla Singh of BJP by a margin of 59,555 votes in Allahabad.

By winning 10 seats, BJP upped its tally as compared to 2007 elections when the party won only 8 seats.

The Congress , which won 3 mayoral seats, including Jhansi, Allahabad and Bareilly in the last municipal poll , failed to open its account this time.

In U. P. , elections were held for 12 municipal corporations, 186 Nagar Palika Parishads and 388 Nagar Panchayats.

Congress and BJP contested elections on party symbol, while BSP and SP, though allowed their workers to contest polls, did not allot party symbols.

LOCAL BODY ELECTIONS – MADHYA  PRADESH

Apart from Uttar Pradesh , blitzkrieg of ruling Bharatiya Janata Party [ BJP ] continued in Madhya Pradesh also . Out of 27  municipalities , BJP won 20 . Independents got 4 municipal boards and Indian National Congress got just 3 municipalities .

Before these elections in UP and MP , BJP captured all the 3 Municipal Corporations in New Delhi and even before that BJP along with Shiv Sena romped home in BMC , Mumbai .

ROLE OF ELECTRONIC MEDIA

It is a major political news of immense importance . In Uttar Pradesh BJP improved its tally by 2 and its minimum victory margin was 9,500 in Ghaziabad and the maximum was 1,71,000 in Lucknow , where it fared poorly in last Assembly elections . In remaining 2 corporations it was the nearest rivals to the winning candidates .

Congress drew blank in Uttar Pradesh and won just 3 out of 27 municipalities in Madhya Pradesh . Electronic media welcomed the news with deafening silence . Few reported it with a caveat . Read the following lines :

” However, the results are subject to the outcome of a writ petition filed in the Supreme Court challenging reservation in the local bodies. “

Had it been a Congress victory in UP and MP local body elections , electronic media would have written obituary of  BJP . On the day of BJP victory , they were busy discussing Karnataka crisis and were taking sadistic pleasure . V. S. Yeddyurappa and Sadananda Gowda both belong to BJP and even if they can’t see eye to eye and have some genuine differences , it is possible in democracy and it should be welcomed  . They never went to the extreme of tearing the party into two like Mrs. Indira Gandhi .

Jagadish Shettar , the new BJP Chief Minister of Karnataka is a RSS swayamsevak and rose to prominence during 1992 Hubballi Idgah movement . He was lathi charged for trying to hoist Tiranga at Hubballi Idgah Maidan . New Dy. Chief Minister R. Ashoka is also political savvy and this new BJP team of Karnataka is going to be the nemesis of the electronic pundits and nay – sayers .

As shown it the above map BJP is ruling in Himachal Pradesh , Gujarat , Goa , Madhya Pradesh , Chhattisgarh and Karnataka on its own and is a dominant partner in ruling coalition in Punjab , Bihar , Jharkhand and Nagaland . It is ruling major civic bodies in Mumbai and New Delhi but still as per the electronic media pundits , it is on decline .

I think coming elections in Himachal Pradesh , Gujarat and Karnataka will open their eyes . Or may be they will never open their eyes and would never like to see the truth . Is it because they are p..d ?

They , in fact , won 5 Municipal bodies out of 10 . In Mumbai BJP [ Bharatiya Janata Party ] and Shiv Sena combine is in power since 15 years . It is their 4th consecutive term . Before election results were declared , BJP was written off by Left – Liberal – Pseudo Secular intelligentsia , TV anchors and journalists . BJP , to their utter dismay , won 3 more seats in Mumbai that 2007.

Same pattern was repeated in just concluded 5 assembly elections by same Left – Liberal – Pseudo Secular intelligentsia , TV anchors and journalists . They wrote BJP off . But again they have bitten dust . They were baffled by the saffron surge .Latest assembly election in 5 states of India is going to be a game – changer in many sense of the term .

It heralds all – encompassing saffron surge .

It signifies decimation of Indian National Congress .

It signals decline and subsequent fall of Nehru – Gandhi dynasty .

Even minutest details were dutifully reported and a false image was created about victory of Congress and defeat of BJP . Mr. Rahul Gandhi , Ms. Priyanka Gandhi and her kids descended on Uttar Pradesh and media portrayed them as the saviours of the people of Uttar Pradesh . All the BJP leaders were ignored as if they don’t exist . Mr. Mulayam Sigh Yadav was given larger number of seats compared to Congress but not the majority . According to Left – Liberal – Pseudo Secular intelligentsia , TV anchors and journalists , Congress was supposed to be the king – maker in Uttar Pradesh , king in Punjab , Uttarakhnd and Manipur and a minor looser in Goa .

Shri Lal Krishna Advani , Shri Nitin Gadkari and all the big leaders campaigned tirelessly but were ignored . Uma Bharti Ji was not even mentioned in some channels .

BJP believes in the theory of ” India First – Party Next – Self Last ” . BJP has no dynasty to safeguard . So they worked silently and tirelessly . From top leaders to ordinary workers all pitched in as per their capacity . Their sole aim was :

तेरा वैभव अमर रहे माँ , हम दिन चार रहें न रहें ……

Results came and all the Left – Liberal – Pseudo Secular intelligentsia , TV anchors and journalists got shock of their lives . I was watching various news channels and was amused to watch the faces of anchors .

Punjab :

The state had history of not giving fresh mandate to the incumbent party . From 1966, when uni – lingual Punjab was created after its tri-furcation , no incumbent government came to power again . So it was pretty easy to predict that Congress would be forming the next government . So without any second thought Punjab was given to the Congress . All Pre – Poll and Post – Poll surveys were unanimous .

But the results were shocking for all . Out of 117 seats SAD [ Shiromani Akali Dal ] and BJP [ Bharatiya janata Party ] got 56 and 12 respectively . It is 9 more than the simple majority . Congress got only 46 seats , 2 up than the last time .

Uttarakhand :

BJP was written off in Uttarakhand . But in the final tally it got 31 seats  and Congress got 32 . Just 1 more and still media ranted about BJP’s rout . It is unfortunate that BJP got just 5 short of majority .  Shri Bhuwan Chand khanduri came just few months back and managed a miracle . Uttarakhand is missed by the BJP narrowly .

Goa :

Media showed some leniency as for as Goa was concerned . But they were willing to give BJP just 18 seats . 3 short of a simple majority . In the final reckoning BJP got 21 , absolute majority in the house of 40 . Its ally MGP [ Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party ] got 3 seats . So the combine’s seat tally is 24 in the house of 40 .

Uttar Pradesh :

World’s 6th biggest administrative unit Uttar Pradesh went through 7 phase elections . Mulayam Singh Yadav’s SP [ Samajwadi Party ] got absolute majority , though no one predicted it . According to Left – Liberal – Pseudo Secular intelligentsia , TV anchors and journalists , BJP was going to be 4th and Congress will be king – maker and SP will have to seek its support . Result is for all to see . With 224 seats SP got absolute majority in the assembly for the first time. So – called king – maker Congress got 28 seats , 4 more than 2007 elections .

It is unfortunate that Uma Bharati ji’s efforts failed to give desired results . But consider some facts . BJP got 47 seats . 4 less than 51 , its 2007 tally . But BJP came second in 55 seats . One seat it lost by just 18 votes . Of these 55 seats many seats it lost by less than 200 votes . Had media not been so avers and instead portrayed true pictures , I feel results would have been different .

I am happy for Manipur . Mr. Okram Ibobi Singh won 3rd consecutive term . His victory augurs well for this tiny North – Eastern state . He got 42 seats in the house of 60 . Mr. Okram Ibobi Singh has managed 12 more seats this time than the tally of 30 in 2007 .

But architect of Manipur’s Congress victory is the Chief Minister and not the Nehru – Gandhi dynasty . It should be clear to Left – Liberal – Pseudo Secular intelligentsia , TV anchors and journalists that despite all the hype , all the PR exercise and all the orchestrated clamour that only Nehru – Gandhi family can save the nation , is appearing wrong . Mr. Rahul Gandhi worked very hard in Bihar in the last election and got only 4 seats .

The saffron in the map will keep on increasing . There are 7 BJP Chief Ministers in India . They are in ; Karnataka , Goa , Gujarat , Madhya Pradesh , Chhattisgarh , Jharkhand and Himachal Pradesh . BJP is junior partner in 3 more states . They are ; Punjab , Bihar and Nagaland . BJP is main opposition party in 3 states , having its leaders as Leader of Opposition . They are ; Rajsthan , Delhi and Uttarakhand . It has got 114 seats in Lok Sabha and 51 in Rajya sabha .

Today Congress controls only 30.07% of total value of vote share for the President poll , which is coming in July . In spite of Dynasty being at the helm , they are in minority as for as presidential poll is concerned and media wont be helpful here. It is sheer arithmetic . 58 Rajya Sabha seats are falling vacant next month . Then Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh elections are due towards the end of the year .

Not winning in Bihar and now not so impressive show in Uttar Pradesh in particular and all the other states in general does not augur well for the dynasty . Sheen is gone . Shine will soon go away .

Maharashtra Municipal Elections 2012 : Congress’ Rout ; Saffron Juggernaut

Municipal and Local Body elections 2012 in Mumbai and rest of Maharashtra just got over and now process of installing the mayors and other office bearers are underway .  These elections gave some very startling and surprising results this time .

It was initially thought by left – liberal intellectuals / journalists and slowly it became general perception that this time the saffron front is facing rout . It was widely believed that in the ensuing municipal corporation elections in Mumbai the ruling front ; the Shiv Sena and Bharatiya Janata Party , is playing on sticky wicket . BMC [ Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation ] is the richest corporation of India . Its annual budget is bigger than the budget of some of the state assemblies of India . So these elections are considered prestigious and this time it was keenly watched .

In Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation , the ruling Front of Shiv Sena and Bharatiya Janta Party was in power for unbelievable 3 consecutive terms . Therefore the Congress and NCP [ Nationalist Congress Party ] came to conclusion that incumbency factor will harm the ruling front and invariably brighten the prospect of opposition front . It was also felt that MNS [ Maharashtra Navanirman Sena ] will eat into Saffron Front votes and thus going to deprive them of victory . But unseen hands of destiny had few shocker for the Congress and NCP this time also .

Shiv Sena patriarch Shri Bala Saheb Thackeray and acting president Shri Uddhav Thackeray , along with Mumbai BJP President Shri Raj Purohit and some other state level BJP leaders , devised some new strategies to thwart the freshly hatched game plan of the Congress and NCP of Sharad Pawar . Their ” KARUN DAKHWALE ” campaign was brilliant . They roped in RPI [ Republican Party of India ] headed by Shri Ram Das Athwale , in the front . So the joint strength of Shiv Sena , Bharatiya Janta Party and Republican Party of India [ SS , BJP , RPI ] fought elections unitedly and comfortably trounced the Congress and NCP front .

When results were declared , it became apparent that SS , BJP , RPI have got the maximum number of seats in Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation . Though they fell short of 7 seats , still they won the BMC fort . Congress , NCP alliance came a distant second with 65 seats and MNS [ Maharashtra Navanirman Sena ] , perceived to be king – maker , was third with 28 seats in its kitty .

Out of 10 Municipal Corporations of Maharashtra , BJP and SS have won 5 . These are ; Mumbai , Thane , Ulhasnagar , Nagpur and Akola . NCP of Sharad Pawar is the clear winner in Pimpri – Chinchwad . NCP can capture Pune , Solapur and Amarawati also with the help of Congress . MNS has won maximum number of seats in Nashik . But here are some more shocker .

BJP has won more number of seats compared to Shiv Sena  in Pune , Solapur , Nagpur and Akola , BJP has outnumbered Congress also in Nagpur and Ulhasnagar and has equal number of seats in Akola . BJP has outnumbered NCP also in Nagpur , Mumbai , Solapur and Akola . In BMC BJP has won 31 seats compared to 28 in 2007 . BJP tally has improved everywhere .

Sharad Pawar , known as Maratha warrior , Maratha strongman in Marathi news papers , have bitten dust . Other so – called NCP stalwarts and strong men like Dy. Chief Minister Ajit Pawar , R. R. Patil and Chhagan Bhujbal , both former Dy. Chief Ministers , have eggs on their faces . Supriya Sule has simply vanished from the scene .

It’s sheer luck that because of assembly elections in 5 states , Rahul Gandhi or Sonia Gandhi can not visit Maharashtra . So they have some face – saving excuses . But Congress Chief Minister Prithvi Raj Chavan , ex Shiv Sainik and former Chief Minister Narayan Rane and Mumbai Congress Chief Kripa Shankar Singh have nothing to say . So they have gone into shell . They are incommunicado and blame game has started .

In 2007 BMC elections Congress and NCP had no alliance and they fought separately . So according to some left – liberal journalists , SS and BJP won because of the division of secular votes . But in 2012 , Congress and NCP fought the elections as alliance partners and still they lost . SS and BJP have won convincingly . Now left – liberal journos have to eat crow . They have nothing to say .

Shri Nitin Gadkari and Shri Bala Saheb Thackeray can take pride that they have snatched victory from the opponents and that too against all odds . It is satisfying fact that MNS [ Maharashtra Navanirman Sena ] instead of eating into saffron votes , ate Congress , NCP votes and dealt severe blow to their nefarious designs .

Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation elections along with 9 other civic body elections of 2012 are eye opener in real sense . It heralds saffron juggernaut and decimation of pseudo – secular forces.

Elections have been declared in 5 states of India . Uttar Pradesh , Uttarakhand , Punjab , Goa and Manipur will go to polls on various dates this year . Manipur assembly election will take place on January 28 , 2012 . Punjab and Uttarakhand will go to polls on January 30 , 2012 . Polls will take place in Uttar Pradesh on February 08 , 11 , 15 , 19 , 23 , 28 and March 03 . Election will occur in Goa on March 03 , 2012 . Results will be out on March 06 , 2012 .

Manipur merged with Indian Union in 1949 . It became Union Territory of India in 1956 and became a province of India on January 21 , 1972 . It is part of 7 North – Eastern States of India , known as 7 sisters .

Assembly election of 2012 is the 10th assembly election of Manipur . First assembly elections were held on July 01 , 1963 .Mairembam Koireng Singh became the first Chief Minister of Manipur .

Okram Ibobi Singh is the 11th Chief Minister of Manipur . He is the first Chief Minister of Manipur to complete a full term as the Chief Minister . He is the first one to get mandate for the second consecutive term also . So he becomes the first Chief Minister of Manipur to last in the office for 10 long years .

This blog is not about the historic feat of Mr. Okram Ibobi Singh . It is about the opportunistic stand of two Communist parties of India . C. P. I. , C. P. M. , Forward Block and R. S. P. have formed a front . This is known as Left Front in Indian Politics . This Left Front ruled West Bengal for almost 5 decades . It has ruled Kerala also for several terms . It is still ruling Tripura . West Bengal , Tripura and Kerala are the known Communist bastions of India . Left Front exists in these three states .

In Manipur , surprisingly , Left Front does not exist . Communist Party of India [ C. P. I. ] is with the ruling Congress and is part of the ruling front . Communist Party of India – Marxist [ C. P. I. M. ] is with the main opposition party ; Manipur People’s Party and is part of the M. P. P. led opposition front .

May I demand to know about the cause of non – existent Left Front in Manipur . The Indian National Congress and The Communist Party of India [ C.P.I. ] fight with each other in West Bengal , Tripura and Kerala . How come they are friends in Manipur ? How come The Communist Party of India – Marxist [ C.P.I.-M. ] does not oppose this opportunistic stand of C. P. I. ? Or are they partners in this game of sin and crime ?

Once they tried to paint India red . They took part in democratic elections as per their convenience . They waged armed struggle with the central government as per their strength . To be in different fronts and alliances is also part of their strategy . The dream of painting India red lies in shambles . But the effort is still on .
